Health and Safety

Powell Engineering's commitment to Health and Safety is reflected by our obtaining certification to the requirements of Health & Safety Standard OHSAS 18001:2007. Health and safety compliance in the workplace has never been more important. Powell Engineering regularly asses the risks in all its activities, and takes proactive steps to eliminate or reduce them. Safe working procedures for all aspects of work have been prepared with risk assessments and method statements produced for each individual site.


Powell Engineering endeavours at all times to minimise the adverse impacts of its activities on the environment, and to comply with all relevant legislation. We are currently certified to the requirements of Environmental Standard ISO 14001:2004.

Powell Engineering's aim is to eliminate or minimise the consumption of natural resources, pollution of land, air and water, disturbance to wildlife and creation of nuisance to other site users and general public.

We recycle products and materials where practicable. Where it is not possible to eliminate waste, we dispose of it in a responsible manner, compliant with the requirements of the law, the standards to which we subscribe and our customers.
